As we arrived at the location about 3 hours prior the official start we had to get two tickets first. As usual lots of guys sold some and so we got it for the original price, which wasn't too bad for a sold out tour actually. After passing the controls at the gates our choice was the standing-room in front of the stage and we were really lucky to get great second row view there. I personally liked Fad Gadget's pre-show, though a few people waving their tix started to scream "Depeche Mode, Depeche Mode". Mr.-Drilling-Machine Frank Tovey looked at the crowd... and did the same!
Finally our british synth-pop heros entered the stage to change the Waldbuehne into a huge waving, singing, dancing, screaming and jumping mass for 2 hours. Martin's solo for "Surrender" was only one of the highlights at my third Depeche Mode concert. Especially the new songs sounded absolutely fabulous and Daves voice, much more ripely and stronger as never before, made it just perfect. He almost tried to run spinning and turning along the stage faster than a tornado during the special instrumental part of "Dream On". This show was probably one the most intensive experiences I ever had and I almost felt tears in my eyes looking at 40.000 hands waving at "Never Let Me Down Again" just like as they would say "Goodbye and thank you Depeche Mode!".
